PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE OF ROTARY MACHINE
predictive maintenance involves trending and analysis of machinery performance parameters to detect, analyze and correct developing problems before extensive damages occur. Problems can be identified in initial stage only, while the machine is running then the repairs can be planned in convenient time. Vibration monitoring is the most reliable method for predicting a machinery health. A reliable baseline data storage is a MUST in order to meet the correct objective of any successful Predictive Maintenance Program in a good plant. A good PMP finds application in Inspection, Quality control, Engineering and standard maintenance procedure of any rotary machine from a small motor to as big as steam turbine.
